Fr. Dave Guttman reveals to us a bit about the mystery of salvation. Often times, parents can be concerned that their child wants to attend a non-Catholic church. So can they receive salvation outside of the Roman Catholic Church? The two extremes he discusses are: (1) that we can do whatever we want and still receive salvation, and (2) that anyone outside of the Catholic faith is condemned.
We believe that the Church holds all of the tools for us to navigate this world, and to prepare us for our eternal life in Heaven. But can God work outside of the Catholic Church? Of course He can. The grace of Jesus Christ is powerful beyond our understanding.
